フランスの女の子という名が付けられた、ポルトの名物料理"フランセジーニャ"。これは強敵。僕たちが注文したのは、このフランセジーニャの全部のせ。せっかくだからと一番豪華なやつにしたのだが、豪快すぎた。食パンに挟まれたありとあらゆる肉。サラミ、ベーコン、ハム、ステーキを挟んだパンを覆い隠すとろけるチーズ。その上に丁度いい半熟の目玉焼きが乗り、その周りをポテトが親の仇のように取り囲み、全体にソースがかけられている。大味だが、一口めは結構美味しい。チーズと肉とソースが同時に個別に主張してくるが、それぞれが美味しいので、大味だがやっぱり美味しい。だが、三口めあたりから、これが強敵になってくる。さて僕らは、このフランセジーニャを攻略できるのか。食べれば食べるほど途方もない道のりに思えてきて、僕らは必死に躍起に限界へと向かっていった。結果、僕はポテト以外はなんとか完食、ヨメは半分ほどでギブアップした。すごい戦いだった。フランス女子は、相当手強いんだろうなと思った。
DAY615 : FRENCH GIRL FOR LUNCH
Francesinha is a popular Portuguese food named "French girl" in Portuguese. We ordered one with all toppings, to enjoy the local speciality at full. However, what they brought in front of us was all sorts of meat; salami, bacon, ham and steak between slices of bread covered with cheese and some sauce with a porched egg on top, surrounded by tons of french fries. It is kind of junk but good at the first bite. Each ingredients are delicious but not quite in harmony. Maybe after a couple of bite, it became tough to conquer. The more bite we took, the harder it seemed to finish. That made us want to overcome our limits and as a result I finished except the fries, my wife gave up a half way. French girls are quite tough to overcome, I imagined.
