クリスマスイブの夜のプラハ。街を歩いていて思ったのが、なんかプラハの街暗くないか。街灯が少ないわけでもないのだけれど、薄暗い気がする。電球のワット数を低めにしてあるのかと思うほど。いや、そうなのかもしれない。その暗さがむしろこの街の雰囲気を重厚にして、古い建物たちと相まってまるで中世にいるような気分になる。観光客が集まる広場やお城周辺は人でいっぱいだったけれど、一歩道を外れると人通りは少なく、イブのプラハは、なんだか厳かな気がした。
DAY642 : CHRISTMAS EVE IN PRAGUE
We spent the christmas eve in Prague. As I walked around the city, I noticed how dim the city lights are. It seems there are enough of them but low-wattage which makes it feel like an ancient city in the deep night. Besides the touristic places around the square and the castle, it was a silent and holly night on the christmas eve in Prague.
