シミエン国立公園、山歩き。3日目。そして最終日。3日間のこのツアーのラストを飾る、イメット・ゴーゴー。ファンキーな響きすぎてそれが何なのかよく知らずに歩いていたのだけれど、到着してみるとそこは、4000m近い崖のビューポイントだった。眼下の山々に点々と村が見え、そこに雲の切れ間からの光が差し込む。ラストにふさわしい、ホントにいい眺め。ツアーがビシッと締まる感じがして、なんだかとてもいい気分だった。ほどなくして山を降り、谷を越えまた登り、道路までやってくるとそこにはお迎えの車が待っている。乗り込めばゴンダールの街まで連れてってくれる。振り返ってみると、よくできたツアーだなぁとつくづく思う。満足気分でホテルに帰り、シャワーを浴びて濃いめのビールを飲む。エチオピアがどんどん好きになる。
DAY 585 : TRIP TO ROOF OF AFRICA, DAY 3
The third day of our trekking in the Simien Mountains National Park. The goal of the third day of the tour final was the view point over the 4000m high cliff called Imet Gogo which I didn't figure out what it was until we got there. It was such a great great view with villages on top of the mountains with lights falling down from the slits between the clouds. It seemed very appropriate to make a grand finale of a tour and indeed made me feel very good. After a short while, we went down the mountains, over the cliffs, and to the public road where shuttle vans were waiting to take us to Gondar. On the way back to the hotel, I was reminiscent of the three satisfying days of the trekking tour. After a shower, I found myself falling in love with Ethiopia while drinking a bottle of dark beer.
