街から見える、あの不思議な山。やっぱり気になるのでとりあえず行ってみる。近づくと巨大な岩の山で、パタゴニアのフィッツロイにちょっと似ている。スーダンの人々にとって観光地であるらしく、新婚旅行の行き先の一つでもあるそうで、妙に初々しく感じる若いカップルが岩に記念の落書きをしているのを見かけた。ちょっと登るだけで、街が見渡せる。遠くは地平線が真っ直ぐで、平らな大地に突然ニョキンと生えている山だということがわかる。やっぱりちょっと不思議山。その名もタカ山。
DAY 573 : WE GO TO THE MOUNTAIN
The bizarre looking mountain. It never got out of my head and finally drove us there. As we get closer, it was a gigantic rocky mountain similar to the Fitzroy in Patagonia. It seems like kind of a touristic place for Sudanese especially for newly weds, we saw many young couples marking on the rocks. As we climbed, the whole town soon came into view. Nothing except the mountain exists on this flat land surrounded by 360 degrees horizon. The bizarre mountain is called Mt. Taka.
