今日のプラハは大晦日。昼間っから街は花火が鳴り、盛り上がりすぎた若者の奇声が激しい。浮き足立つような、何かいつもと違う雰囲気の旧市街。凍える寒さに思わず入った中華レストランで麻婆豆腐を注文し、美味しく温まって外に出たヨメが突然、乙女になった。雪が降りだしていた。中世の雰囲気いっぱいのプラハと雪。こればっかりはホントに綺麗で素敵で、乙女になるのもしょうがない。しかも、年が明けるまであと30分、気分は嫌でも盛り上がる。そして迎えた午前0時、旧市街広場。大聖堂や時計台の上の夜空ぜんぶに花火が上がり、まだ残るクリスマスマーケットと一緒にキラキラ光って綺麗さ最高潮。雪が降るなか皆ホットワインで乾杯し、抱き合ったり何故かハイタッチしたりと盛り上がりも最高潮。いやーいい新年を迎えられました。今年は楽しく頑張れる気がする。
DAY646 : SNOWY NEW YEAR'S EVE IN PRAGUE
The new year's eve in Prague. We heard fireworks exploding and excited young kids' screaming in the city during the day. Even in the old town, we felt something unusual like agitation in the air. Freezing cold outside, we ran inside a Chinese restaurant for a warm rest and a hot meal. And then, 30 minutes till the new year, it was snowing when we got outside the restaurant. The combination of medieval feeling of Prague and snow was so irresistibly beautiful that we were drawn into it. Finally, it past midnight in the Old Town Square, we saw fireworks in the sky above the cathedral, the clock tower and everywhere which made the still-remaining christmas market glittering. So beautiful. Everyone was excited, toasting with hot wine, hugging each other or doing high-five in the snow. Much expectation for the new year!
