シュトゥットガルトの中央駅のビルには、巨大なベンツのエンブレムが回っている。なぜなら、この街にはメルセデスベンツの本社があるから。さらに加えて、ポルシェの本社もある。世界的企業が何社もここにヘッドオフィスを置いているそうな。今日は、前から行きたいと思っていた、ベンツの本拠地へ向かった。目的は、メルセデスベンツ博物館。ここは、世界初の自動車や世界初のエンジン、歴代のベンツが並んでいて、かなり面白かった。さすが、創始者が自動車を発明した人だけあって、車の歴史そのものを見ているみたいで勉強にもなる。年代物のベンツはどれもこれもトラックもバスもカッコよく、どれでもいいから乗って帰りたいと心底思った。あと、昨日行ったクリスマスマーケットとの、嫁のテンションの違いっぷりも面白かった。
DAY634 : MERCEDES-BENZ MUSEUM
A huge Mercedes-Benz logo mark is spinning in the central hall of the Stuttgart main station building. Simply because it is where Mercedes-Benz head quarter is. Additionally, so is the head quarter of Porsche and other worldwide corporations' main offices. I've always wanted to go to the Mercedes-Benz Museum where they exhibit the world very first motor vehicle and engine, also the past models of Mercedes-Benz lineup. Because the founder invented motor vehicle itself, the history of the company is like the history of the motor vehicle. All the classic vehicles, including trucks and busses, looked so cool that I seriously wished I could've driven one home. Besides, the gap between the christmas market and the museum for my wife's interest was quite something.
