今日はレンタカーの旅。ヨーロッパの高速道路の制限速度は、日本に比べて軒並み高い。だいたいが120km/hから130km/hで、実際は皆それを超えビュンビュン走る。慣れるまではちょっと怖いが、慣れれば非常に爽快。自動車は、スピードを出すために作られているとつくづく思う。目的地はシュトゥットガルトから60kmほど南の、ホーエンツォレルン城。道中続く、ちょっとドラマチックな曇り空と、妙にかわいい家々が、僕らのテンションを上げる。走り着いた先は、ホーエンツォレルン城を見下ろす山の上。ちょうど日が落ちるころで、やわらかな光に薄く赤く染まる大地が、ホントに綺麗だった。
DAY635 : DRIVING GERMANY
One day driving trip with a rental car for today. They have much higher speed limit on European freeways than those in Japan, mostly from 120km/h to 130km/h, and people drive even faster than that. It's kind of scary in the beginning but very exhilarating once I get used to the speed. Cars are made to speed, indeed. Today's destination is Burg Hohenzollern, 60km south of Stuttgart. The somehow emotionally clouded sky and the cute houses built our anticipation and finally we arrived on top of the mountain overlooking the castle. The land reflected the red soft light during sunset and it was just so beautiful.
