TOMOKA Coffee in Addis @Ethiopia

DAY 588 : TOMOCA COFFEE IN ADDIS ABABA
Ethiopia is known as a home of coffee. It's been said that the name, "cafe" and "coffee" have its origins in Kaffa, a coffee beans producing district in Ethiopia. Coffea arabica which supply 70% of all the coffee beans consumption today, is originally indigenous of the highlands in Ethiopia. The grounding culture started in somewhere in the middle east but when it comes to the wild breed, Ethiopia may be the origin of coffee. Also in Ethiopia, there is a coffee drinking ceremony called "Coffee Ceremony" and it is quite popular everywhere. There is definitely something special about coffee in this country. We visited an old cafe in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, Tomoca Coffee. They seem very famous, selling original T-shirts at the store and have own website in multiple languages including Japanese. Relatively small but stylish and friendly store with beautiful female store staff. Their coffee was very dark and had a rich aroma.
