旅768日目 : 幸せのイズミール、興奮のカッパドキア
イズミールは、本当に良い街だった。正直主だった見所があるわけではないけれど、居心地の良さがとてもいい。新市街は原宿のように賑わってるが、海沿いの住宅街は静かで、海はいつだって碧かった。海岸ではいつも誰かが釣りをしていて、隣でカップルやおじさんたちがいちゃついている。聞くところによると、トルコのモデルはイズミール出身の女性が多いんだそうな。美女の多い街、それは天国だ。そして名物、ミディエドルマス。この食べ物がホントに美味しくて、僕たちは毎晩食べた。その後イスタンブールでも食べたが、やっぱりこの街のものが美味しかった。いい思い出ばかりのイズミール。頑張ってトルコ語を覚えて老後をここで過ごすのもいいな。さて、後ろ髪引かれながら、僕らはバスに乗って東の内陸部へ向かう。トルコのいちばんの見所、カッパドキア。拠点となる街ギョレメまではバスで10時間ほど。バスからの不思議な風景に、早速僕らのテンションあがる。
DAY768 : COZY IZMIR, EXCITING CAPPADOCIA
It was so nice staying in Izmir. Nothing spectacular but super cozy. As opposed to the busy new town, the residential area by the ocean was nice and quiet. The ocean was always clear blue and people were hanging out, fishing or chatting. Someone told me that many Turkish models are from Izmir. A town full of beautiful girls is absolutely heaven. And, finally Midye Dolma. We loved it so much that we ate every night. We tried in Istanbul, not as good as ones we had in Izmir. With all the good memories, I imagined us living here when we are old. Well with strong reluctance, we headed to the Eastern Turkey on a bus. Our most excited destination in Turkey, Cappadocia. 10 hours bus ride to the base town, Göreme. Looking unfamiliar scenery out the bus window, we got more and more excited.
