遺跡を前にするとヨメは、よく喋る。喋っては黙々と歩き、写真を撮り、また黙々と歩く。すごいなぁ、ホントに好きなんだなぁとヨメの後ろを歩きながら常々思う。ただ遺跡について語りだすのが何だか偉そうで、今回の旅用に買ったサングラスがこれまた偉そうで、それがたまにイラっとくるので今後ヨメを"親方"と呼ぶことにする。それはそうと、今回廻ったナイル西側の遺跡群のうち、僕らが行ったのは３つ。王家の谷、ハトシェプスト女王葬祭殿、ラムセス3世葬祭殿。どれもそれなりに見応えはあった。ただ、親方ほどの遺跡好きじゃないと、ちょっと飽きてくるのも事実。ちなみに王家の谷にあるツタンカーメンの墓は小部屋でしかなく、それだけで入場料100ポンド(1600円ぐらい)するので、それには流石の親方もご立腹していた。
DAY 555 : MONUMENTS ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE NILES
My wife talk a lot in front of monuments. She keeps walking and talking, sometimes stop to take photos and start walking again. It's quite impressive how much she likes monuments. But the way she talks about it and the sunglasses she bought for the trip are somehow patronizing and irritating. So I decided to call her "Boss". Among all the archeological sites on the east side of the Niles, we visited three of them, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari and Temple of Medinat Habu. I enjoyed all of them in a way, but to be honest, I am getting tired of monuments. FIY, Tomb of Tutankhamen at Valley of the Kings is just a little room for 100 pound (1600yen) to enter which made "Boss" angry.
