移動移動の毎日。アフリカ旅の移動は少しハード、でも楽しかったり。窓からは、モザンビークもマラウィも田舎が続き、明らかに電気の無い村、小さな街、ジャングルが入れ替わりに過ぎ去ってく。バス停は無いけれど、停車場はふわっと決まっているようで、そこで人が乗ったり降りたりする瞬間を狙って物売りたちがバスを囲む。お土産というよりは、そこの野菜や果物だったり、乗客の昼食だったり飲み物だったりを窓に向かって盛んにアピール。小さな窓から商品を受けとり、お金を払うやりとりが、バスが発車してもちょっと続いて、窓からお金を落とす客と、追いかけながら受け取るオバちゃんの光景がこれまた面白い。
Day after day, move after move. Transportation in Africa is tough but fun. In Mozambique and Malawi, we were going through rural landscapes with villages without electricity, tiny towns, and the jungle passing one after another. There are no distinct bus stops yet the bus stops at some determined spots where there are many street vendors waiting for passengers. They sell vegetables, fruits, lunch boxes or drinks, shouting out at the bus windows. They keep exchanging money and the goods through the window even after the bus take off. It is hilarious how the money drops off the window and the vendors trot after them.
