「スーダン、金がかかるぜこんちくしょう」 首都ハルツーム二日目、なんとかたどり着いた謎の施設で僕らは、そう叫んだ。この国では入国三日以内に外国人登録をしなければならない。なんでもその登録をしなければ、罰金を取られ、警察の職質を乗り越えられないまま旅をすることになるらしい。そんな国はじめてで、しかもその金額がいいお値段するとあって、僕ら旅行者はこの国に歓迎されていないんじゃないかと、ちょっと不安になる。登録料は最近また値上がりしたようで、タイミングも悪い。泣きながらその謎の施設を後にして首都を散策。アルファベット表記の看板は少なく、英語を話せる人も少なく、ホテルまで迷いながら歩きながら、スーダンライフに先行き不安を感じだした頃見つけた、フルーツ屋のジュースに癒され1日が終わる。
DAY 566 : STAYING IN SUDAN COSTS
The second day in the capital Khartum, we cried out in anger at a mysterious institution that staying in Sudan cost too much! In this country, all travelers must be registered as foreigner within three days. Without the registration, we can get police investigation while traveling. It is quite exceptional that a country requires foreigners to register by paying a lot of money and totally makes us feel uninvited. The fee just got raised unfortunately. We left the institution with tears and went for a city walk. There are non-english signs and non-english speakers in the city, we got lost ourselves and the way back to the hotel. The fruit juice at the stand was so good that it kind of calmed us down at the end of the day.
