ワクワクの国境越え。エジプトを出て、いざスーダンへ。アスワンを出発したバスはアブ・シンベルの街の港へ。そこからナセル湖をバスごと渡る。船の着いた先は、もうスーダン。砂漠の船着場にテンションが上がり、出国入国の荷物チェックでテンションが下がる。このご時世だからかココの国境はことさら厳しかった。写真チェックをされ関係無いデータまで消され、荷物は替えのパンツまですべてチェックされ、無事スーダン入国のスタンプが押された時には涙流して喜んだ。大変だけれど、やっぱり国境越えは楽しい。国境から更に砂漠を走り、今日はワディハリファという小さな町に泊まり、明日、一気に首都ハルツームへ。
DAY 564 : LET'S GO TO SUDAN!
Feeling excited to cross the border, out of Egypt into Sudan. The buss took us from Aswan to the port near Abu Simbel to get on the ferry to travel across the Nasser Lake. We were in Sudan when the ferry arrived the other side. We were so excited to get off on the dessert harbor but the baggage check at the immigration put us down. It was quite harsh though I understood the situation around the particular area and time. They checked all the image files on HDD and erased the files that has nothing to do with them and went through all my possessions including underwear. It almost made me cry when they put a permission stamp on my passport. Crossing border is always trouble but still fun. Moving ahead through the dessert to a small town called Wadi Halfa for one night stay and tomorrow to the capital city, Khartoum.
