日本でも、たまに見かける水タバコ屋。カイロでは、カフェで同時にオーダーできるようで街中でオジさんたちがモゴプカしている。道端でプカプカしている女性ははしたない、という常識があるからなのか、オジさんばかりで吸っている女性を全然見かけない。はしたない女性だと思われては困る、と言うヨメが仕入れた情報は、ナイル川の中州にある高級住宅地ゾーンなら問題無いとのことだった。早速、意気揚々と橋を渡って吸いに行ってみた。ちょっと調べてみると、水タバコは普通のタバコに比べ煙を吸う量が多いそうだ。普通のタバコも何も吸わないヨメの初体験水タバコ吸引は、俗に言う「ヤニクラ」の激しい版だったようで、ピーチの香りを漂わせながらグッタリしていた。
DAY 542 : First Time Hookah
Recent years we see more hookah shops in Japan, too. Here in Cairo, it is available at coffee shops and we can see old men smoking everywhere in town. It also looks like smoking hookah in public is not standard for women. Someone told my wife that it is okay to smoke for women in the upper grade neighbor on the sandbar. So we ran and crossed the bridge. Later I figured that one hit of hookah can give you more smoke than normal cigarettes. My smoke-free wife got a strong nicotine crash from the first time hookah with peach flavor.
