From Durban, to Maputo @Mozambique

It makes me realize how vague my impression of Africa was. Before I came, I thought there were many different spoken languages for each tribes. In fact, my impression was not that far from the reality. Different tribal language is mainly spoken at home. I surely don't recognize the difference but their language is quite interesting. However, most of them speak other language such as English, French or other European language besides their own, as a second language. Here in Mozambique, people speak Portuguese. To my surprise, there are six countries which use Portuguese as their official language. English in 22 and French in 24 countries. I wonder why they don't use their own language and was pretty convinced by the fact that there are more than 2000 kinds of languages in the Continent of Africa. No wonder.
